New Product Announcement: The RCU Rack-Mount Control Unit

WTI is proud to announce their newest innovation - the RCU Rack-Mount Control unit. The RCU provides practical and convenient on-site camera control for all traffic systems! The RCU was designed with the Sidewinder camera in mind, however the unit will seamless integrate into any existing traffic control system as well.

Understanding and successfully addressing each of our customer’s needs is the overriding mission that drives WTI (Wireless Technology, Inc.) and the business relationships we have with our customers. We realize that each customer has unique needs, however after 25 years of serving our customers we find there are three “interwoven-threads” that our customers have come to rely on from WTI. They are: Product Performance, Product Quality, and Cost of Ownership. Keeping all of these “interwoven-threads” equally strong requires constant customer feedback, vigilance in Research and Development, investing in manufacturing technology and of course the all important cost of ownership.

In this vein, WTI is very proud to announce that we have chosen the Juki Corporation and their high-speed SMT placement equipment to replace and upgrade our current SMT line. This allows WTI to meet its need for a wide variety of in-house manufacturing applications with the highest performance possible. The new Juki KE-2080 is a high-speed, high-accuracy component centering SMT machine that uses unique laser technology and extremely powerful vision processing to ensure correct and exact placement every time!

Another quality test for the Sidewinder camera - this time it gets a turn in the wind tunnel. This morning WTI's C.E.O., C.O.O., Regional Sales Manager and Main Engineers headed down to sunny San Diego, California for more rigorous testing to ensure the Sidewinder camera will continue to work flawlessly in all climate conditions.

Recent Sidewinder Installation

March 25, 2008

A local downtown business community wanted increased activity awareness within a historic mission park area.

A video solution was desired that allowed for city and police personnel to monitor the activity.

Additionally, the buildings in the area are historic and penetration of any surfaces for equipment mounting was considered “taboo”. Coupled with a lack of connectivity at the location to pipe streaming video back to the municipal video head-end… this created the need for an intelligent and creative solution.

WTI provided this in a standard Sidewinder package mated with a standard wireless video/data transmission package.  WTI’s non-intrusive flat roof mount is being used to preserve all surfaces.
